Howdy -
A classic rally was on Speed today - I managed to tape it but was walking out the door and didn't have time to stop and email anyone else - it repeats on 12/29 at 430pm - lasts 1 hr - it may be on again in Jan - didin't check the schedule out very far - but it's worth a look IMHO.
They race from Paris to Cannes - looks like the Tour de France actually but they keep calling it 15th Annual Tour Auto Lissac. Lots and lots of old sports cars of every persuasion - from 911s and 356s to XKEs and 275GTBs and Daytona's and even some with questionable "Sports Car" provenance - like a Renault 2CV with 45hp and a top end of 120kph - probably downhill. ;-)
Sadly there was a 250 Lusso which wiped it's nose on some scenery losing its headlights and grill - along with some other classics that were unfortunately damaged -
Anyway, lots of eye candy for car nuts - I'll try to provide a little more advance notice next time -
I'd love to compete in something like this here in the states but the ones I've found have entry fees of several thousand $$'s. Pretty steep in my book (the only book that matters to me) ;-)
