I have a gt4 but I drain from the petcock on the engine and just put one on the lower from radiator pipe. I change the coolant every year or sometimes twice a years and have been using the dexcool. I just had my radiator leak repaired and the insides of the pipes hoses and radiator looked great no build up of any kind. I am worried that putting cold water in a warm or hot aluminum engine would not be good for it but I am not an expert. My advice drain it refill run for a couple of months and repeat. I use distilled water.
