Guys:

Remember that old people still fall for those "bank examiner" tricks and
take their life savings out of the bank despite the fact that this scam is >50
years old. Supposedly knowledgeable business people fall for stock scams and
tax scams annually. Heck, Americans fall for the biggest Ponzi scheme ever,
Social(ist) Security and fight off the efforts of those who try to help them.

And, if that isn't enough, how about these young "dot com" generation folks
who are incredibly talented in their fields, the Wall Street bank group with
their million $USD bonuses in hand on Dec. 20th, etc. looking for the
opportunity to buy something that they always wanted, young doctors who finally
 have
gotten their student loans under control and who are making real money for
the first time, but don't have much time for such things as due diligence, but
in fact could stand the loss of the entire amount and recover from it. The
statistically vulnerable population from which these scam artists can draw from
is unlimited. And not just from the "dumbed down". There are many bright,
financially stable but untrained in these matters individuals just waiting for
the FBI, state or local police, etc. to recover the money that they have
foolishly turned over to scam artists. There wouldn't be those wonderful emails

from Nigeria if this weren't the case.

In this case, someone with a friendly Ferrari dealer, or one who anticipated
the money to be made from servicing this vehicle if short on altruism could
start the due diligence fairly easily. But even then it would take some time
to effectively stop the fraud from occurring particularly if the item is
listed in a printed rather than an electronic media since it is virtually
impossible to recall an entire issue for one ad.

There are a lot of ways to avoid such foolishness, but it is Monday morning
and I have to get ready for a hearing today. If anyone here REALLY thinks they
are going to buy this car, just wait until tonight, if you are lucky someone
else will have "bought it out from under you" and drop me an e-mail.
