Congratulations on your new BMW! A suggestion: drive the sucker home-  
I was through Sacramento in December in mine, you can even detour 80  
miles over to Napa and Sonoma for a little ballast. The southern  
route is snow and ice free all the way. East of EL Paso just take  
I-20 through DFW and up.
