Dang... is it THAT easy to tell from that photo????? :)

Actually, that's taken coming around turn 8 (see track map:
http://www.portlandraceway.com/graphics/BigMap2.gif). PIR is a cool track,
and the back straight was actually higher speed for me than the front
straight (hence, I did most of my overtaking there, the result of a
three-car pass is this photo). I can't take much credit - it's not really a
fair fight once the turbos light up. I do remember that 512M making such
SWEET sounds that I would wait for him to go to full throttle just prior to
6, hang out behind him for a while to listen, then pull out and blow by to
beat him to the braking zone at 7.

Speaking of track time, Steve Cook, Erin, and a couple other friends from up
here in Seattle joined me this week at Bondurant to drive the Corvette C5s
for my bday. Fun to toss around, but I really missed the song of Ferrari
tail pipes on track.

You mean that picture where the 360 drivers are frustratingly waiting (yet
another lap) for the slow guy in the F40 to give them a point-by? :-)

Anyone else get their 2007 Ferrari North America Events booklet in the mail
this week? That's a sweet photo on page 14 with the F40 leading a couple
360s and a 512M on track. Love those wheels, too. And the driver? He looks
really cool. :)
