I wouldn't get too wrapped up in the SLP mystique around this car, Tom.

I'd

consider $10K way high for such a car unless it had been carefully

packaged

up and never driven. It's a '96 Camaro. The Torsen LSD is nice, but

than that, every SLP part has a better replacement, and that's generally
what most Camaro folks did - replace them with better parts.

Well, heh, the Camaro didn't work out, coolant leak, could have been intake manifold or bad head gasket, which would have been around $1800. Didn't want to take the chance, especially since the car lot droids never once agreed on a price, and after all the bitching, finally came down to what I'd originally offered, but by then too many red flags had been raised. The guy, when placing the ad, told me "around $10K" but when I went to test drive it on Saturday, the other guy said $12,995. ??? So, I drive it, then Monday talk to the guy who placed the ad, he said that he'd had it listed at $11,800 (??) and dropped it to $10,900 (??? again) and would have to get with his partner (two head honchos). So, he did, and he got back to me and, without giving me a price, said "We're not too far apart, only a few hundred dollars..." So after all that crap, I really wasn't in a mood to alter my decision and when they met the price, I told him that I changed my mind, didn't feel right, and wasn't going to pursue the deal. Geez... Tom Tulsa P.S. The car was nice, though...Torsen LSD, SLP optional exhaust system, Hurst shifter... _________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe or modify your subscription options, please visit: http://lists.ferrarilist.com/mailman/options/ferrari/dmills%40
