Well I got the car today and straight away was stuck in 1st and second gear bumper to bumper traffic.. but the car behavied very well given the trying conditions.... I left the city and did some open road stuff to try and get more of a feel for the car... one major question!!! The steering feels like it's "binding up" near the top, by the wheel someplace... their is to much force needed to get the wheel to start moving (normal steering movements). I can hear a noise (kinda squeak) coming from the steering coloum when I break the friction.. it feels kinda like you have a broomstick in a rubber tube and to turn the broom stick you have to overcome the stickness of the rubber.... it is independant of the position of the wheel also... It totally mucks up any delicacy in small steering movements! Any clues as to what it is????? Other than that are my first impressions are... Easy to drive. Amazing low rev ablity in traffic... so flexable. Small children point at it. Does 110 mph easy:) It's all I hoped and more so far... the first big drive is home tomorrow. Regards Gavin PS In great and HIGHLY typical Italian fashion when I was familiarising myself with all the controls with the seller... the left headlamp failed to go back down!!! lol You have gotta love the Italians. I just poped the bonnet and wound it down by hand for now. Classic, and a great start!
