I'm familiar with this car. I know the owner (or at least he was a prior owner, I think he may have sold it). He's the guy you can see driving the car. The track shown in the video is Motor Sports Ranch near Dallas. Also, I know the owner before him, who also had numerous Ferrari collectables including an F40 LM.


The car probably *is* 400 lbs lighter. It's not as fast as any LM or GTE, but it is faster than a "normal" F40, and much lighter than a US-spec F40. There are numerous differences in the construction vs production. It was one of two or three (I forget the number) pre-production prototypes.

It was for sale by Mike Sheehan, but I don't know if it sold or not.
