We've got a great selection of new 'stuff' to tell you about this week so let's
get to it!

SHELBY: The Man, The Cars The Legend
by Wallace A. Wyss
Wyss's previous book on Carroll Shelby (Shelby's Wildlife: The Cobras and
Mustangs), written 30 years ago, sold more than 50,000 copies and remained in
print for 17 years, an amazing accomplishment for any motor racing book. In
this compact (6"x9" 208 page) paperback 'sequel', he reviews the life and times
of Carroll Shelby and brings us up to date on his current projects and
passions. Along the way, he gives us an in-depth look at the fascinating career
and tremendous accomplishments archieved by this motoring icon and spins a few
new yarns as he goes. Well researched, this looks like a fun read. Includes
small, but well
captioned black and white photo section (50 photos). Not just another Shelby
book! $19.95

To order, give us a call at 800.722.8630 or 630.515.1440 or use the Secure
Order Form at www.MotorsportCollector.com.

NEW 1/32 SLOT CARS FROM MONOGRAM
Shipping next week: Revell Monogram continues their series of 'vintage' slot
cars in 1/32 scale with a pair of Chaparral 2s as raced in the 1965 Road
America June Sprints at beautiful Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin. Jim Hall took a wet
victory in car 66, pictured here. The cars come complete with the trademark RA
Tech sticker on the right front fenders of both car 66 and 65.

Also available, the George Follmer/Peter Gregg Porsche 904 GTS, a Class winner
in the 1966 Sebring 12 Hour race and Dave McDonald's Shelby KIng Cobra, which
dominated west coast 'pro' sports car races in 1963.
Photos of all the new Monogram slots are on our New Diecast Page. $44.95 each

THE BEST OF LeMANS - DVD
>From the producers of Motorfilms Quarterly, three completely restored and
>remastered full color (or colour) promotional films from the archives of
>Standard Triumph chronocling the 1955, 1960 and 1961 24 Hours of LeMans:
LeMans 1955 - Perhaps the most infamous sports car race in history because of
the crash that killed 80+ spectators. The Fangio/Moss Mercedes 300SLR led early
but was withdrawn after Levegh's fatal accident, giving Jaguar a 1-2-3 finish
with their new D-type. 19 minutes.

LeMans 1960 - No less than 12 works Ferraris led the charge against the
beautiful Birdcage Maserati and Briggs Cunningham's Corvette. 24 minutes.

Triumph at LeMans 1961 - Triumph took the team prize for the second straight
year with their team of experimental TRs as Hill and Gendebien took the overall
win for Ferrari. Historic footage of Jim Clark in the Border Reivers Aston
Martin, which led part of the race. 35 minutes.

TOTAL RUNNING TIME: 1 HOUR 18 MINUTES $45.00

Speaking of LeMans, this week we acquired a 1/12 scale Ford GT Mk II 1966
LeMans winner, produced by GMP and 'sold out' for several years now. The black
#2 car of Kiwis Bruce McLaren and Chris Amon was the beneficiary of HFII's
decree that the dominant Ford GTs would stage a 'dead heat' finish at the end
of the '66 24 Hours. Since it had started farther back than the #1 car of Ken
Miles and Denny Hulme (which led most of the race), they were declared the
winner.
Our Staff (Jeff) has gone over this model and it appears to be in excellent
condition. $575.00 plus shipping.

NEW FROM CAROUSEL 1: Tony Bettenhausen's 1960 Dowgard Special Watson Roadster
in 1/18 scale. Shipping Now! $139.95
