I'll take the apposite view. If they really wanted to stage it, they could have made it that much more dramatic. Plus, I'm sure Eddie would have worn a helmet (can't tell positively from the video, but I doubt that he was wearing one). From the producer's point of view, I'm sure that he was sick initially, but then became secretly delighted when he realized the publicity value, as I posted yesterday. And to add fuel to the fire, claim tha the "$1.5mm" Enzo was totaled as a result. As for Eddie looking remorseful, I can't say that I know anything about him, but if you're a popular actor and accustomed to appearing on camera, maybe your default mode is NOT to look chagrined when you've done something really quite stupid. I was saying this EXACT thing yesterday. Eddie looks remorseful, but not in complete shock with horror like I would have been. The conspiracy theorist in me says "staged." -----Original Message----- From: Dave Craig [mailto:dave.craig [at] sbcglobal.net] Sent: Wednesday, March 28, 2007 8:18 AM To: Steve Jenkins Cc: 'The FerrariList' Subject: Re: [Ferrari] Enzo ABS did it fail? Lashdeep, That is the exact same thing I noticed! I honestly was wondering if this entire thing is just some viral web advertising, created on purpose. The apparent damage to the car is what $100K - $200K at most and everyone on the planet (that would possibly be interesting in seeing this movie) has already watched a video clip of it many times on there PC and on the news. Sounds like a very effective new form of commercial to me. Why did the photographer behind the jersey wall not flinch when the car hit? Am I missing something or was it staged for the filming of the movie?
