Willi: I help Steve Cook with some of the minor list admin duties, and I get a copy of all the mail that is rejected from the list for various reasons. You may be happy to know that YOU are the winner of the "writes the most messages to the list that never get processed" award! Congrats! :) It's nothing personal, the decisions are made "automagically" by the List Management software. In some cases its because there are too many recipients (which the software things is probably SPAM or a chain letter), or because the message is too large (most likely attachments), or for some other reason. In an effort to help you and others, as well as lower the admin overhead, I've decided to post the bounce reasons here as they happen so that you and the rest of the list members can learn what keeps certain posts from getting through, thereby avoiding the frustration of "hey - I know I sent that, but nothing happened!" (you're not the only one who bounces, but you're the best teaching example, and you've got thick skin, so I figured you could take it). :) From: red5hilser [at] aol.com Subject: Fwd: 2002 Ferrari '051' F1 Championship engine + Rare Memorabilia Reason: Message body is too big: 647065 bytes with a limit of 101 KB This means you posted a message that was almost 7 times too large, and in this case it was because you tried to attach three files with your post. Only VERY small attachments are approved by the software, so most photos will be over the 100K limit. If List Members want to send photos, they need to make sure they are under 100K, and only send one at a time (unless their combined size is under 100K). Happy Emailing! SJ
