Are we talking about the peed limit signs that say "Your speed is"....I thought that they were all passive, am I wrong?? Frequency varies over time. Detectors measure the range from the detector to the vehicle to determine vehicle presence. To obtain speed, the distance between two range bins is divided by the time that the detected vehicle travels that distance (4-1)." The "Your speed is" sign lit up on the trailer, but the V1 sat silent. I don't know if FMCW is being deployed in hand held units, but I can see this as a future threat to our "spirited drives" ! Anyone else with similar experiences?
