Really? Yikes. If R&T actually liked it, then they should be renamed R&C
(for those who are not as quick as Ken... it starts with "C" and rhymes with
"Track")

Seriously. The auto was absolutely ZERO fun to drive. Like I said in prev
post, it was like I was "suggesting" to the car that it shift gears. They'd
do better to abandon the paddles altogether in that car. It reminded me of
the P-bug Tiptronic system, only worse.

The only advantage I saw to the auto tranny is that you get two cup holders
instead of one, because of the electronically controlled parking brake.

Oh - did I forget to mention the "electronically controlled, auto-engaging
parking brake?" Yeah... I'm sure there's NO chance that's ever gonna
malfunction and strand me roadside. ;)

Plus, I really like the sound of yanking the P-brake. It's the audible
punctuation of any drive in each of my Italian babies. :)

Why I asked, the auto is new this year. R&T says it is almost as
quick and gave it a favorable review. I have driven the Cambiocorsa
but not the auto. There is a guy here in my project has a
Quattroporte they loan him when his F430 is in for massage. I have
asked him to adopt me, no luck so far.
