My only serious 4-dr sedan seat time I can rely on to answer your handling
question is a 2001 BMW 740iL, and a 1997 Mercedes E320.

The Maser is better in every way than the Merc. It's more agile than the
BMW, as well as both quicker and faster, but for some reason the BMW feels
more securely "planted" at 120+ (I've held the BMW at 134 for a solid 5
minutes+ on road trips). If you move slowly, a lane changes at 120 requires
slightly more attention in the Maser than in the Bimmer. The BMW makes you
feel like you can fiddle with the stereo knobs at that speed. But there is a
lot of body roll in the BMW if you try to toss it around at high speed, and
hitting the brakes plunges the front end. The Maser is what I would want to
ride in if I'm on a road trip where I have to change lanes a lot, or pass on
a 2-lane hwy. The Bimmer is made for pointing in one directing, staying in
one lane, and mashing the throttle. It's nice to have access to both. :)

Yeah, haha. You know, I've learned in the past to not trust the magazines so
much and here I go trusting them again ;)

I'd love to write for a car magazine and educate the masses at large, if
only the pay was slightly more than $300/week....

Seriously. The auto was absolutely ZERO fun to drive. Like I said in prev

I never bothered with manually shifting torque converter automatics, but I
will say that if you ever get a chance to drive a Bentley Continental GT,
you just might enjoy it....nice car.

Glad you really like your new QP. How does the handling compare to some
other big sedans you've driven before?
