The rumors may have started because of the secret launch control easter egg
on the US Version of the 599. On that car, the secret sequence is
apparently:

- Turn CST to "OFF"
- Select 1st gear
- Hold the downshift lever until you hear a beep
- Place your left foot on the brake, stand on the throttle, then release the
brake and hold on!

Maybe the same sequence will work on the 430?

Disclaimer: ALL reports state that launch control (on the Enzo, the Euro
430F1, the 360 CS, etc.) eats clutches in a BIG way.

Let us know if this works on a 430 (or anyone else with one who dares try
it).

I heard that you can get the U.S. models F430 in the Launch  Control mode if

you perform a sequence of events.  I asked some of the  staff at Ferrari of 
Washington, no one seems to know.  Does anyone know  anything about this and
if 
it is true?
 
I also heard that if you used it more than 10 times, you need  to replace
the 
clutch.  Anybody know anything about this?
