While some feel the sudden black means Tony got whacked ( previous  
conversation Tony had with Bobby about death, the absence of an afterlife and  
how 
everything would just go black..) I think Tony doesn't get out of life so  
easily. 
The ending left us wondering just which of the folks in the diner was  going 
to do him in, if anyone, that sense of constant impending doom coupled  with 
uncertainty, must be precisely what the characters have to deal with  everyday. 
A brilliant way of making the audience FEEL what the characters feel.  KUDOS 
to Chase.
