No way to know what the ABS / TC light is besides hooking it up to the computer. Could be minor (low fluid) could be a major failure (abs pump).

Clunk could be a suspension issue. suspension is a pretty trick set up with standard suspension and a leveling (and raising and lowering) system. Parts are pricey but readily available.

A/C, like the others could be a small leak - low "freon" or a major problem with the compressor or evaporator - both of which are pricey to replace.

Sounds like this one may have been through the wars, or at least ignored for a while.

There are lots of them out there and prices are quite reasonable. When it runs well is is a surprisingly nice car. I was never a fan, but have one that I care for in the warehouse and have come to really respect its abilities as a GT car.

Anyone with firsthand experiences on a '98 CL500?

I haven't had a chance to do a thorough pre-purchase inspection, but the car's A/C blows warm and the ABS/Traction Control lights are lit. It has about 70k miles and runs quite well. There is a light clunk on the passenger side over bumps.

Is this thing totalled?

Thanks in advance,
LS
