"Rules of Engagement",  What an absurd concept.  War is a terrible thing but if 
fought, it should be fought to win.  

And having journalist so close to the troops is always a problem, IMHO.  I 
think 
the powers that be hoped the reporters would see how things were being done and 
would write stories about what a great job our grunts are doing, but instead 
they are only interested in dirt.   There used to be a time when Truth was the 
primary motivation.  Now it, "Find some Dirt" on anyone on our side and beat 
the 
drum with it.

  Considering the f*cked up rules of engagement we had to live (or die) by over 
there (thanks, in large part to those "journalist" pukes running around the 
Green Zone filing stories about things they heard about third hand), they 
probably DID throw them at the house because they couldn't get permission to
