Hi Guys, A few months ago I asked for advice in solving a hotstart problem on a buddies Mondial. Basically it wouldn't turn over when very hot until it sat and cooled for about 40 minutes. Lots of suggestions, all valid I am sure but in the interest of list information the problem has been traced! The problem has been solved by disconnecting the alarm/immobiliser. Rather than being a Ferrari wiring issue the heat from the engine was causing a failure in the alarm system. Not sure how old it was (it wasn't new) but just something to keep filed away for the future. Naturally it was the LAST thing we checked!
