I'd like to point out that until today it was all deny, deny, deny.
Sort of blew up in their face when copies of the incriminating emails were found and even worse when Stepney came out this morning with a statement admitting that he had shared the info with key members of the team.
One thing to spy and get caught in the act.
Another, even worse, to lie to the investigating body - after swearing to be forthright - and then getting busted.
Not to mention all the crap that they have been spouting off about their "innocence" to the press these past several months.
Glad that they got tossed.
Feel bad for Hamilton, I like him and figure he was probably only an incidental beneficiary.
Would feel bad for Alonzo, too, for the same reason - but he is a dick.

NOBODY plays by the rules in F1. It is the quest of every team to stretch the definition of the rules to the extreme. There's just too much money involved for this to be a fair, friendly sport. And like they say in New Orleans; The difference between right and wrong is in whether you get caught. McL got caught, Ferrari didn't, making them the benevolent benefactor.
Do I agree with clYde that there is a crisp line between stretching the rules and illegal acts? Yes I do. ...but we will never know what really went on behind closed doors.
