MM, I share your sentiments. I never would have expected this from F1...well 
not yet. I can't bear to watch pro sports anymore. It is completely 
demoralizing.

This is a real shame for me as I'm a diehard athlete that can't imagine a 
happier existence then when engaged in a competitive sporting event.

Well, at least there's pro tennis (for now) and college volleyball.

I commend F1, it is a way more just sentence than what
the New England Patriots got for cheating.  These days
there is no ethical standard left in any kind of
sport.  Whether its doping for the Olympics or Tour de
France, or steroids in baseball or tainted refereeing
in the NBA, cheating has become the standard in
sports.  That is why I rarely watch sports anymore,
its all pretty reprehensible.
