Charles: When it comes to two horse, bumper pull trailers, from my experience you might as well just bite the bullet and buy a new one. As some others have said, these trailers just don't hit the retail dealers' market frequently, and when they do they are pretty well worn out. They are just far too useful for a number of purposes when the owner decides, as they seem inevitably to do, to move up to a four horse (even if they only own two horses) gooseneck trailer with or without living quarters, tack room, etc. And even at that point they can make good ranch trailers so the price is too stable and for my taste too high and are never available at a "Clyde" price. I would have to say that most options purchased on a new trailer, except perhaps for a generator and air conditioning in the living quarters/tack room have close to zero resale value. They were bought to meet the personal preferences of the original owner and wholesalers view them with a "take it or leave" attitude. Similar to these expensive custom paint schemes that are also omnipresent on these trailers. If you want a basic, well constructed two horse straight load bumper pull trailer I would guess your best bet is to find some place like Trailer World, and just buy their basic model, skipping on a lot of options that you will later find you don't have much, or frequent use for on the road. Get the important stuff like spare tires and wheels, and a good hydraulic jack and make sure you have tandem axles and a good braking system compatible with your tow vehicle and leave it like that. Other than food and water, and protection from the elements my horses just don't seem to care how fancy the trailer appears and what neat, expensive options that might have been added to the trailer.
