Sam Peckinpah - - - oy vey.  The guy that brought REALism to shooting in the 
movies.  I recall the first time I saw one of his cowboy movies and some 
dude gets shot in the saddle - none of this ohhhhhh, you got me pardner 
stuff - no sir - they tied a rope to the guys waist over a pulley and the 
other end to a 50 gallon water drum.  Guy gets shot and they drop the water 
drum 10 feet.  Jerked that actor off that horse faster than you could see.
