I loved Band of Brothers, but then, I'm probably a bit biased (101st
Airborne Division, '04-present; Task Force Band of Brothers, Iraq,
'05-'06).  At the Division Reunion a couple of years ago I got a chance to
meet some of the real Easy Company guys (and other Bastogne vets), and lemme
tell ya, they're a wild bunch.  With how hard they attacked each other (and
their livers) at 80+, I can't even begin to fathom what they must have been
liked when they attacked the Germans.  Great guys, though, to a man you knew
you could trust 'em to Hell and back.  And they did, actually.
Oh, and I've run Currahee with slick-soled jump boots (the same type those
guys wore "back in the day") and it SUCKED.  Screw that noise.
Sorry for the NFC, just touched on one of my faves.
