GOOOD point Dave - I had the occasion to remove my 308 deck lid to redo the 
sponge rubber and the right hand hood hinge - - - I could hardly rotate it. 
Of course with the leverage of the hood I never noticed it - boy did it take 
some work to get it moving nicely.
