but re Mike's point...  I'm chuckling a bit to myself.  :-)  You can't even
properly change the brake fluid on a new Ferrari without a $25k SD3.  

Is the GT-R (or sub in the M3, 911 Turbo, whatever) a complex piece of
machinery that uses a lot of cutting edge technology?  Yup.

But what's hilarious is that Mike's point (and it's a pretty good one) is
put out on the Ferrari List.  I don't know for sure how reliable the GT-R
will be (or not), but there is no way in hell that it will be any less
reliable than any Ferrari built in the last decade (and an order of
magnitude cheaper to fix, to boot!).

Well said.  High horsepower and low weight are where it is at.  The  
gtr is definitely impressive but you will need 3 PHd's to fix the damn  
thing if it breaks (and fast and fat means it will break often if  
pushed to its limits).
