It's pretty common here in the windy city to see 900+ HP Supra's. Cost? $1500 plus car. Yes, they are street driven in traffic with no issues. Yes, I have driven them. Some have approached $20k plus car. Owner's personal touches. There are also a few blown E36 M3's around: 400-700 HP. Those cost upward of $15k plus car. Plethora of V8's. 400-1500 HP. Even more STi's and Evo's. Price is all over the place. Strangely, reliability seems to do less with money - more like luck! Technology in the new supercars make them fantastic performers. Yes, the new GT-R was purpose built. Beat the Porsche. Give the GT-R it's props. It's done it time and time again. (anyone know of the vette's best times around the 'ring?) Sometimes numbers are not the whole story. A Ferrari is still a Ferrari. A Vette's a Vette. A few of the exotic car owners in the area also own Vettes for the track. Why? Cheap to fix and replace and still have that rush of HP! Would I love to track a Ferrari? You bet! I just can't afford it and be competitive. My past choices? BMW, Chevy, Ford, Honda and Mazda power. Oh well. R **************************************Check out AOL's list of 2007's hottest products. (http://money.aol.com/special/hot-products-2007?NCID=aoltop00030000000001)
