Just out of curiosity...

How many folks on the list have had a lot of heartache with their 348?  

Honestly...  I owned one and raced it for almost 2 years in the Texas
summers and aside from a clutch (wear and tear) failure on the drive home
from the track one weekend, it was pretty rock solid in every respect for
me.  Maybe my car was just well sorted?  No idea...  I even recall one
weekend where 5 Porsches (3 of them turbos) were lined up with various
engine/mechanical failures from the hot weekend, I packed up the 348 and
drove it the 60 miles home.

Central cooling pipe in valley - make sure it has the white bands.  Have to 
remove the top of the whole engine, tail lights and radio.  Or so it seems. 
Something about side windows too.

Hey just 'cause they have no problems?  They don't have toggle switches.
