I think you hit it on the head Mike - Sorted out. Guess when we buy a car
we just expect it to perform until we sell it. Racing yer 348 just pushed
everything to the limits and when those were fixed you had a pretty nice
car. The Porsche Turbos? Just entering stage one of the nice car in
progress. heh heh

Just out of curiosity...
How many folks on the list have had a lot of heartache with their 348?
Honestly... I owned one and raced it for almost 2 years in the Texas summers and aside from a clutch (wear and tear) failure on the drive home from the track one weekend, it was pretty rock solid in every respect for me. Maybe my car was just well sorted? No idea... I even recall one weekend where 5 Porsches (3 of them turbos) were lined up with various engine/mechanical failures from the hot weekend, I packed up the 348 and drove it the 60 miles home.

I agree with most of what was said except that the 550's had no teething problems that I was aware of
Central cooling pipe in valley - make sure it has the white bands. Have to
remove the top of the whole engine, tail lights and radio. Or so it seems.
Something about side windows too.
Only exception is the 3 series the 328 is the best of the bunch
Hey just 'cause they have no problems? They don't have toggle switches.
348 this car all most bankrupt Ferrari is has more service bulletins than the space shuttle!
Now THAT is a good one. heh heh
