That's correct - tissue matching is important. A child or a sibling is a more likely donor. I'm not atall sure donating a kidney to your wife is such a great idea however; I enjoyed four of the latter, but posses only two kidneys. There's on;y so much you can give, even if it's only a flesh wound....
