Well, now that you mention it...
Power went out at our house probably on Sunday night late, but didn't notice it 
was out until Karen's 5:00 A.M. Monday newscast.  Luckily we have a gas 
fireplace and kept reasonably warm and comfy in a confined area.  The 3 dogs 
didn't know what to make of it, but they enjoyed it, I think.  Streets weren't 
bad as far as ice, but lots of trees, I mean LOTS of trees went down for the 
count.  We had one overhanging our garage door/driveway so that my side was 
clear, but Karen couldn't get her car out for a day or so.  But, we had a guy 
come out, and hung on to him for dear life.  Got the drive clear, cut/hauled, 
and around $600 later we're minus one pretty tree. Thankfully no one was hurt, 
nothing fell on the house, and not having a wood burning fireplace, no log 
rolled out and started the house on fire, killing people, which is what HAS 
happened to some in the area.  Went out for dinner last night, saw a TV and 
said, "What's that?"

  I keep seeing that y'all are having a heck of an ice storm up there with 
multiple power outages in the Sooner State. Let us know how yer doing. If your 
power is out and you're on generator power, we're having fried gator tail with 
all the fixins. Okra, poke salad, fresh tomatoes out of our garden, and hush 
puppies, washed down with Grandma's steet tea tonight. Y'all are always welcome 
to spend a few days with us until things get sorted out up there. Bismarck is 
only 5 1/2 hours from Tulsa. Let us know.
