Rick -

Can you give us Jeff's contact info? I'd love to read more pieces like
that. That's why I was excited to see your article in PH. For the most
part, the fact that they spend all their time on 50s and 60s cars and
the related period of history doesn't do much for me and, I think, does
very little to expand readership or membership. I guess the people who
have the time to do the magazine are centered in that age group, but I
find very little interesting to read in PH on a regular basis. Anything
with the 512BB or newer is really where my interests lie.

Subject: [Ferrari] New article, was: Rick Lindsay in Prancing Horse

Hey Gang,
I have suggested to Jeff Allison, editor of the
Prancing Horse, that I write an article about
restoring/preserving Ferraris, using my 308GTB as the
example. Jeff is unconvinced that we, the FCA members
and PH readers, are interested in that topic. And
he's concerned that centering on the 308 is not of
interest to the general reader. In fact, when Jeff
and I were discussing that topic, I posted the
question to the list regarding interest in the lowly
308. And you remember the response; a zillion 308
owners immediately came to life!
If you think a restoration piece would be good for
the PH, please drop a line to Jeff Allison at the PH
supporting the piece. I'd like to write it from the
perspective of 'preserving' cars that shouldn't have
gone unloved. From that direction, it doesn't matter
whether we're talking about a 308GTB or a 330GT2+2
or...

best regards,
