Many machines (except series 1 TIVO)  have USB connections to 
transfer video to your PC for burning.  
There is a late model TIVO with integral DVD burner but the reliability is 
questionable.

Have you checked weaknees.com ?  They are the prime source for
parts, service, hacks, etc.
