Subject: [Ferrari] OK ClyDe you have finally crossed the line

And I quote cLyDe here: "The 328 is the smarter car all way around. You will not regret it. If they had made that car when I was buying my first Ferrari I would have done so. The 328 is better than early 12 cylinder Ferrari's!"

Truly you jest, ....I agree with the 328 being probably the best CAR,
but have you never listened to the throaty moan of a 365 GTC/4 at 4000
RPM under the load of acceleration ? Sensuous, if I ever heard a woman
sound like that I would expire from pure effort.

Have you never heard the wail of a 308 GT4 between 2/3/4 as the
induction sucks in air just behind your right ear?

Could you possibly ignore the pride of driving a Lusso through a small
  town?

Have you never looked into thos 6 2bbl webers sitting astride
a Daytona or a 275/4 cam...or never even once wondered what it would
be like to know that you had a 250 PF Cab sitting in your garage
begging you to come out and play.

It is inconceivable to me that a man of you stature, your wealth of
knowledge, your incredible communications skills, could possibly not
lust after the Lilliana DeRethy 330 GTC or the Prince Bernhard 250
PF Speciale or wondered what it would be like to have been in the
drivers seat of the 500 SF #1.

Forget the Monzas, the GTO's the 250 MM's forget all about Fantuzzi,
Zagato ( Oh my god, a 250 Zagato cpe w/6 webers and TR cams and a
straight thru exhaust),Tom Meade Pinin Farina Bertone, forget the cars
of Lou Chinetti forget them all....forget the TDF's tell Nick Soprano
that you would rather drive a 328 oh the shame.

I am sorry, it must be the season, it could be my need to help those
who have never had the expeiences that I have had , I recently learned
that (I may be the only man in the world to have driven to some
lengthy extent both the 250 Fantuzzi and the Neri and
Boanacini Spyders) in addition to just about all of the above plus a
  few.

And you have the audacity to agree with me, that the 328 is probably
the best car Ferrari has ever built....just because it is as close to
bullet proof as you could build a Ferrari, just because it forgives
those of us our drivng sins, ( c'mon now how many of you would ever
admit to having lost control of your 328), Yeah we may all wish for
more than a 328, but lets save those wishes for world peace, for
fiscal sanity for a better cleaner environment, for fewer guns in the
wrong hand, for more and better meals for those who go with out, for
more secure presnt and future for our aging population no more
  bujada my friends.

Clyde....Man I love you, you, you are what this list is all about its
not guns, its not cats it isn't even about cars, It is about a group
of people who love Ferrari but in a pinch there is always some one on
this list to toss a life saver into the ring. Some one always "has
  your back"
And BTW, I am so happy to see Rick back on a regular basis bring back
  some of the list founders,
I want them, I need them.

Merry Christmas to every one, I hope that the season is as good to you
as can be, that you can look back on 2007 and just see the high lights
and that there are enough of those to make 2008 less of a challenge
and more of a thrill (driving included) batteries extra.
