Well, if Dennis is responsible for the team's actions (or is it 
Whitmarsh?) then whoever bears the "buck stops here" responsibility should 
probably be fired, as an act of contrition, if for no other reason.  I 
think Max pretty much set that train of thought in motion the other day 
when he said he found it hard to believe that Dennis didn't know more 
about what was going on than he's admitted to.  But, hey, it's McLaren's 
problem now.  I just hope Alonso has a competitive car to race, it would 
be fun to see Massa, Rakionnen, Alonso, and maybe a few others have a nice 
tight race for the Championship next year.

Oh, and Bubba, it wasn't the Germans who bombed Pearl Harbor, or Pearl 
Bailey, either.  Think that was Lemont Cranston.

Lewis Hamilton has been banned from driving for a month after being caught
speeding on a French motorway.
The McLaren Mercedes driver was clocked at nearly 200km/h near the town of

Formula One star Lewis Hamilton has had his licence suspended after being 
caught

driving at 40mph above the speed limit in northern France.
Hamilton, who was driving at 122mph on the French autoroute near the town

Laon on Sunday, was banned for a month.
Police also fined him Â429 and detained his Mercedes. A police spokesman

The Guardian newspaper: "He was very polite and cooperative." Hamilton has

had his car collected from the police compound.
The rookie McLaren driver narrowly missed out on the World Driver's 
Championship

to Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen, and came second in this year's BBC Sports

He recently appeared on Top Gear, where he posted the fourth fastest time

Star in a Reasonably-Priced Car segment, only a few tenths of a second

speeding at 123 mph on the northern French A26 highway last weekend.
Hamilton was driving, bien entendu, a Mercedes-Benz CLK, which was 
confiscated

by the police officers who stopped him near Laon, about 85 miles northeast

Paris. His speed of 196 km/h (123 mph) was well above the posted speed 
limit of

130 km/h (80 mph). He was driven back to his hotel by police and received 
a

mandatory fine of about $865 and had his license to drive in France 
suspended

for a month.
A McLaren spokesman was quoted by the Times of London today as saying 
Hamilton's

professional driving would not be affected by the penalty.
