There is currently no European wide method of having points in one country affect your license in another. He can still drive in the UK with a UK license but cannot use that license in France. They tell us that soon parking tickets issued in other countries on your British registered car will soon be enforced so you have to pay them and no doubt in the near future the EU will make it so points in one country apply to your home country license but currently that's not the case. When it is I will be moving back the US! Driving on the race track is not the same as driving on a public road hence you do not need any license for it. I love Ferrari and am indifferent to McKlunkin but I do like the Hamilton kid! He is fun to watch and seems to be a nice guy as well. maybe someday he will end up at Ferrari. Now that Lewis Hamilton has been suspended from driving in France for one month, what happens to his driver's license? Is it a British licence (note the correct Anglicized spelling) or a European Community license or ? Is his driving elsewhere affected? Can he test for McLaren while his driving privileges (in France and/or not in other places) are in suspension?
