Subject: Derilict Donut Car Show My old man always talked about some heads he had on a '32 Ford back in his day. They were aluminum finned, high compression?RAJO heads with 2 plugs per cylinder.??Sitting on top was a high-rise manifold with a couple of big carbs. I don't know whether there were Stromberg '97s back then, but if not,?his were very similar. It was no surprise to see my first set on a chopped, chaneled Duce roadster, just sitting there, parked in the strip mall at the Derilict Donut Car Show. Simply beautiful. Now I knew what fueled is enthusiasm for things only a man could enjoy. (apologies to my PC-minded friends out there, I mean no harm, and that's not an uncooth?put-down of?women of any race, creed or color). You can call off?those 'Hounds from Hell,'?The Rev. Al, the ACLU, LULAC, Dykes on Bikes?and Jesse Jackson or anyone else with either an ax to grind or whoever is trying to make a fast buck without working for it. It brought back alot of me and my dad doing our thing together back in the old days. I had never even heard of the Derilict Donut Car Show until I mentioned on the List that I was going to visit my daughter in Huntington Beach and was looking for a Ferrari List member?hookup. Guess that I must have left most of my memory at the last Greatful Dead concert that I (think) I attended, as I've forgotten his name, although?he did drive a beautiful red 355. I've never seen a more eclectic car show. Very informal, no entry fee, no prizes, just roll out of your nice warm bed at 4am any cold, foggy Saturday morning, bring what you've got that you're proud of (on wheels, of course), park it in the strip mall parking lot along with?about a hundred?like-minded, slightly unbalanced car nuts and enjoy! I recommend it to all Listers living in the L.A. Area or anyone else, and can hardly wait until my next visit in late spring. Yer pal, Ferrari Bubba -----Original Message----- From: ItsmeMrWright Subject: Re: My ... er, Chasen's Chili Recipe ... Oh yeah, been there.? My Uncle is a regular at DD.? I can clean up pretty well, and I leave the firearms at home. Start the year off right. Easy ways to stay in shape in the new year. More new features than ever.
