I bought this Tivo about two months ago:

I used a 10% Paypal discount code to knock a sweet $100. off the displayed price. I'm using it with Verizon FiOS TV, and distributing the Tivo's component output to three locations in the house.

All,
No question, I've decided to purchase a Tivo. We finally bought the HDTV (a rear projection Samsung LED DLP, incidentally).
I don't like the price points of the HD Tivos, and I'm pretty insistent on getting a lifetime subscription. Tivo makes it at least a little more difficult to get lifetime subs now, but here is one option:

I'd also consider the series 3 HD that they appear to be phasing out, but only if I can find an affordable way to add lifetime to it.
Any other thoughts? I keep striking out on eBay (have bidnip'ed on 4 so far).
