I doesn't seem all that long ago, when I sold off of my Pioneer "LASER DISC" player and some discs on eBay and bought a Sony DVD player, when that format was brand new. Then, I sold that player and bought a new "upscaling" Denon unit w/HDMI out. I've been waiting for the Blu-Ray/HD battle to get sorted out too. I'll probably buy a Blu-Ray soon.
