Hey Rick: Der Frau and I helped cover the CART series for? the Prodigy IP when 
it was still alive. Having unlimited press credentials, we got to roam around 
behind the scenes, as it were, for tidbits to use in our stories.You know, like 
when we were at Spa in 1995 and Ralf took Miss Germany to the meet,?but she was 
seen leaving Giancarlo Fisichella's motorhome at 6am, Sunday morning, a true 
story.
Anyway from what we saw in CART, although we mostly hung around the leading 
teams, like Penske, Ganassi, and Neuman-Hass, we didn't see that much 
testosterone in the air, with the exception of a few guys like?Little Al, A.J., 
and Paul Tracy. Micheal Andretti was a stand-offish jerk and his then wife, 
Sandy was even worse.
Most, like Mario, Alex Zanardi, Greg Moore, Jimmy Vasser,?and Juan Pablo were 
open and friendly interviews, although with Juan Pablo, Chip was always there, 
at his side?to guide him as to what he said.?
There is a vast difference in driver/team leader accessability between F1, CART 
and Indy, so I don't know that much about F1, only what I've heard.

Great post Rob.  I have worked the last six US F1
Grand Prix as a marshal in the pits, working with the
drivers and the crews, and I don't like the drivers
either - even if they DO work for Ferrari!  The level
of testosterone in the air alone is nauseating!  But
please remember, these guys are showmen and they are
superstars.  F1 is an entertainment, not sport.  Sport
died in the Colosseum.  TheF1 guys do entertainment
quite well - even the ex-F1 pilots.
