But the FAQ says you are asked how many of the items you want - was that not the case?

AH! But there is a catch!

Dutch Auctions do NOT follow proxy bidding rules.

For dutch auctions the rule is LOWEST WINNING BID is the price you pay.

So, if you bid 20.00 on ALL available items and you're the highest bidder,
you'll pay 20.00 for each.

So, it doesn't automatically lower your bid. That's the catch with dutch
auctions.

Jim, This was in the FAQ section of BidNip

<<Will BidNip work with eBay Motors or Dutch auctions?
Yes - it works great with both. With Dutch Auctions, simply specify the
number of items you want to when when setting up your snipe. >>

Good luck -

I'm trying to BIDNIP an auction that ends in 2hrs. It is a Dutch
Auction. Can I use BidNip for this? Will it try to get all 5 of the
same items for me or will it put one bid in? My fear is that it will
keep bidding until either the auction ends, or my reserve is met even if
the high bid was much lower than that.....

 Advice please..!

 JIM
