Yes, it should ask you how many. If you only bid $20 on 1 of 4 items, and there are other bidders that bid on 1 (or 2 or 3) items and they bid $10, you'll only pay 10. It's if you bid on 4 out of 4 at $20 that you'd pay $20 (if you were the high bidder). If this is your first dutch auction, you might want to bid "by hand" first - just to get the feel for how bidding works - and still bid in the last few moments :) -steve -----Original Message----- From: LarryT [mailto:l02turner [at] comcast.net] Sent: Wednesday, February 27, 2008 6:58 PM To: scook [at] gear21.com Cc: The FerrariList Subject: Re: [Ferrari] BIDNIP HELP....Please.... But the FAQ says you are asked how many of the items you want - was that not the case? AH! But there is a catch! Dutch Auctions do NOT follow proxy bidding rules. For dutch auctions the rule is LOWEST WINNING BID is the price you pay. So, if you bid 20.00 on ALL available items and you're the highest bidder, you'll pay 20.00 for each. So, it doesn't automatically lower your bid. That's the catch with dutch auctions. -steve -----Original Message----- From: jimshadow [at] verizon.net [mailto:jimshadow [at] verizon.net] Sent: Wednesday, February 27, 2008 5:40 PM To: scook [at] gear21.com Cc: The FerrariList Subject: Re: [Ferrari] BIDNIP HELP....Please.... Jim, This was in the FAQ section of BidNip <<Will BidNip work with eBay Motors or Dutch auctions? Yes - it works great with both. With Dutch Auctions, simply specify the number of items you want to when when setting up your snipe. >> Good luck - Larry T (66 MGB, 74 911, 78 240D, 91 300D) www.youroil.net for Oil Analysis and Weber Parts Test Results http://members.rennlist.com/oil PORSCHE POSTERS! youroil.net Weber Carb Info http://members.rennlist.com/webercarbs ----- Original Message ----- From: "JIM WILCOX" <jimshadow [at] verizon.net> To: "Larry Turner" <l02turner [at] comcast.net> Cc: "The FerrariList" <ferrari [at] ferrarilist.com> Sent: Wednesday, February 27, 2008 7:04 PM Subject: [Ferrari] BIDNIP HELP....Please.... > I'm trying to BIDNIP an auction that ends in 2hrs.
