Hi Mark,
Since you're going thru the same procedure - here's the systems I'm
considering at the moment.

Cost shown is for 700 SF
     http://www.epoxy-coat.com/purchase.php

    $ 500.00

     http://ucoatit.com/pgs/main.htm

    $ 715.00

     http://www.originalcolorchips.com

    $ 435.00

     http://www.carguygarage.com/slepgafl.html

    $ 280.00 *

     http://www.musclegloss.com/musclegloss_gallery.htm
    $ 500.00

     http://www.griotsgarage.com/home.do

    $ 650.00

* = Add'l costs needed to get complete kit.

The Muscle Gloss and OriginalColorChips look really good in my initial
research. I will give it 30 days to fully cure and will probably wait for a
while longer.

Good luck with the systems you consider -

Hi Larry,
We are going through the same process, and have made no decisions yet.
However, the coating depends upon your intended use - ie - will you be
dragging heavy welding carts across it? Do you live on a gravel driveway
that will get tracked in? Do you anticipate frequently turning the wheels
of a big SUV on the coating? Will you be parking hot tires on it? etc

Then you get into the finishes - swirl acid stains, various epoxy coatings,
various clear coatings, etc. We also looked at using a material intended
for firehouse firetruck floors.

Since I have found no product that stands up over time(despite the marketing
hype), we are tending towards doing nothing, just sealing the fresh
concrete.

Howdy -
Am pouring the garage floor slab today and after the bldg is erected, etc I
plan to coat the garage floor with some kind of epoxy (or ?) coating. Prior
to the clear coat I may even embed a car emblem. ;-) Probably will go with
a dark grey with colored flakes in the paint - then clear to protect
everything. Unless you have had better luck with other colors?

What products have ya'll been happy with? There is a huge variety available
and I hope to benefit from your collective experience.

Thanks in Advance -
