Just wanted to give a shout out to the Ferrari List....and for the legends
it has produced over the years. I'm lucky to have learned from the greats on
here dating all the way back to 1996...

Back then I needed to be steered a lot.....I had all the right intentions
but the knowledge wasn't quite there yet...and in some cases I didn't "get"
certain things. Thankfully I was brought up to speed pretty fast and the
rest is history...

The reason I bring this up today is because of the general frustration I
encounter with all of these internet forums....every single one of them.
Maybe it's the easy access to millions of people, or maybe the F-List was
blessed from the start , but damnnnn....there are soooooooooo many AMATEURS
out there! So many people who simply do NOT "get it"....in many
areas.....cars, stereos, etc. And I'm sure the gun forums are full of
rookies too...;)

Don't get me wrong....a lot of people have "knowledge", but so few of them
have that sophisticated, deep appreciation of the subtle nuances of the toys
we like....especially in the older stuff. It's all about the #s with these
guys.....not saying all, but over 90% easily...maybe 95%.

It's ok to not initially understand the magic of a 250 SWB SEFAC or a '70s
record on vinyl with a tube amp....but if you refuse to learn, there is no
hope for you. No soup for you!

Lashdeep and former lister Vu Hoang tell me all the time to stop wasting my
time with these kids.....and I always agree......but it's hard.  ;-)

I'll say that the different perspective offered on these forums are
worthwhile to a little extent....maybe more open minded. But most of the
time, it's stuff I already know......I already know how to like Escalades
with big rims, and Murcielago roadsters with two girls in the passenger
seat, and the latest blockbuster....no need to waste my time reinforcing
this stuff, haha.

It's good to be spoiled....:-)
