Probably because, like you, the media and the brainwashed masses are in absolute shock that the 'Party of the Right', the ones who wear their 'Family Values'/Church Affiliation/Upstanding-Moral-Compass 'schtick' on their sleeve would actually have then-closeted homosexuals in their midst, or would do anything less-than-upstanding...and its much-more fun to watch the stereotypical self-righteous, "Moral-Majority' act neither moral nor represent the Majority....the event becomes a much-bigger train wreck when the truth is leaked out, and now the 'story' isn't just doing something stupid - its about a political hypocrite doing something stupid. The 'Right' put themselves on that Morals/Values pedestal to win votes - when will you learn that it was all just a marketing ploy? You buy-in to all of that? The Press love to topple 'the mighty' - whomever 'the mighty' might be. Its their civic duty, their Constitutional job. I firmly believe that if anyone, regardless of political affiliation, puts themselves on a higher pedestal than the next guy, the press show no mercy when something bad happens. If the RIGHT didn't put themselves on that higher pedestal, perhaps the Press wouldn't enjoy knocking them off of it as much by showcasing their bad behavior. The motivation to do that is not particularly 'political'. To label that 'liberal bias' is short-sighted - a hypocrite is a hypocrite. Trust me, I see plenty of Liberal Hypocricy here in MA....the middle-ground is getting harder and harder to find. --- On Fri, 3/14/08, Rich <RichF355 [at] comcast.net> wrote: From: Rich <RichF355 [at] comcast.net> Subject: Re: [Ferrari] Betrayal of Journalists To: "Michael" <Cavallino_Rapante [at] yahoo.com> Cc: "The FerrariList" <ferrari [at] ferrarilist.com> Date: Friday, March 14, 2008, 10:43 AM ----- Original Message ----- From: "Michael James" <cavallino_rapante [at] yahoo.com> To: "Rich" <RichF355 [at] comcast.net> Cc: <ferrari [at] ferrarilist.com> Sent: Friday, March 14, 2008 8:15 AM Subject: Re: [Ferrari] Betrayal of Journalists > > Most of the News organizations you mentioned had already 'informed' us > that Spitzer had formally endorsed Hillary Clinton's candidacy for > President, making the general public well-aware of Spitzer's political > party affiliation. If you don;t believe me, Google stories on Mark Foley and Larry Craig and count the number of times " republican" is immediately mentioned before or after their names in the story; that is if you can count that high. Then ask yourself why democrat is almost never mentioned in recent stories about indicted Democrat Congressman William Jeffferson of NEw Orleans and of course Gov Spitzer.
