   BTW, the character map can be found in Start\All 
Programs\Accessories\Character Map -  at least that's the default location 
when Win is installed.  You can drag the icon to your desktop for quick 
access, else right click the icon and Send it to the desktop.  With Win 
there's always 2, 3 or more ways to do something.

I often have need for printable characters which are NOT on my keyboard.
In MSWindows...there is a MS program  called Character Map.  Launch it.
Select the font you are using like Arial.  Find the character you are 
interested in
like ° ¶ © ® ± ¹ ² ³, click and press ' copy' then paste them into your 
work.
