Hi Bob,
   If it were me, I'd go a little earlier - June 14 & 15 - and take in the 
spectacle of Le Mans.  The Ferrari's are dominant in GT2 this season with 
the lack of Porsche in the competition you'll see a lot of red cars.  Some 
teams with long term association with the Porsche factory have gone to 
Ferrari because the mid-engined car is more competitive.

   Unfortunately there's not much happening in the European LeMans Series 
mid-summer - there's a race in April and another in Sept.   I guess they're 
all focused on Le Mans --
