Phil:

I have a different quote from a Chief Patrol Agent of a Border Patrol Sector
which necessarily remains anonymous:

"Post a "No Vacancy" sign and end immigration entirely. Do like the Japanese
do and allow the real H1B candidates, exception scientists, engineers,
business representatives of foreign corporations such as Nissan, Toyota just
to
mention a few and their sales staff, etc., and physicians and surgeons, etc.,
to enter the country and to stay for an extended period of time, paying all
of the taxes that we pay, including Social(ist) Security, but accruing no
benefits , ever, as they are already accruing the benefit of living in the
U.S.
Cut off all payments of all kinds, and all aid, except for emergency medical
services, but not continuing care, to all non-citizens, and deport all illegal
aliens, ASAP after they participate in a CCC type work project to improve
roads, etc. in this country for a specified length of time, and seize all of
their accrued assets as illegally obtained gains (after all if they weren't in
this country they would not have accrued them). The, simply reduce all
welfare and "on the dole" program benefits to 60% of the net income after
taxes,
and without earned income credits at the level of the minimum wage. Then offer
the folks on welfare the opportunity to "do the jobs Americans won't do" to
make up the difference."

Actually, I couldn't have said it better myself, but then again in the
discussion between us I have probably said all of that at one time or another.

Incidentally, he in not big on the government's "catch and release" formula
currently in place of the undocumented aliens. It might work for animals and
fish who are endangered species, but illegal aliens don't quite fit into that
category.

We certainly can afford some opportunities for the truly gifted of other
nations, but, even a motel that generates revenue from occupancy knows when it
is so fully it cannot properly accommodate any more based upon capacity and the
ability to properly provide services to those already there.

Just some simple thoughts from one of Homeland Security's finest, who deals
with these problems on the front line every single work day of his life.
