Don't think anyone thinks it would hapen in one fell swoop - more likely it
woud take place over years - maybe a million or 2 per year should be achievable.

As far as the jobs they do, I;m sure many do a great job - but some are used to
do work they may not be prepared for - for instance, my sons boss (owner of a
brick building co) is trying to get building inspectors - or *some*one to check
the people doing the work to insure they know what they're doing. He (my son's
boss) says he sees it more and more often - a crew of what must be described as
untrained brick masons build a structure - it may last 6 months to a year
before it begins to come apart - sometimes it's represents a danger - so
another company is paid to repair the substandard work - as the original crew
is no where to be found.

He's not having a lot of luck getting the country to step up and say it's
they're responsibility so the situation is unlikely to change. But that's what
happens when jobs are awarded based on price alone.

But, no, 15 million people won't be lined up and marched across the border. ;-)

I hate to jump-in again, Larry, but there's just one small problem to
all this - those 12-14 MIL Illegals here are all here for the jobs - ones that
they're already working in some capacity. If you fired them all tomorrow, 12
Million jobs would stop being worked - everything from Interstate Commerce to
Public Works/Construction to Agriculture to Child Care to all-kinds-of-stuff
that just can't stop on a dime. The reverberations throughout the US Economy
would be Thermonuclear-BAD.....life as you and I know it would just stop.
Grocery shelves would be empty 'cause the food is still in the fields, not
being harvested.....or trucked, or shipped....

I'm no big fan of Illegal Immigration, either, but....there's a reason
why food prices are still reasonable regardless of Agflation rates right now -
the ultra-cheap labor rates paid to illegals to harvest/process/ship the
groceries to the store keep those prices affordable for the vast majority of
the US Population. Unless we all somehow 'like' the idea of paying $17 for an
onion or watermelon, firing them all isn't the answer...'real' Americans would
starve the next day.....our economy has created/nurtured this dependency since
the 1950s....you can't just shut it all down in a day.

All excellent points. One thing that always irritated me is the almost
universal notion than says "there's 12-15 million illegals here and we

cannot deport them all" Even a lot of conversatives say that - maybe
they're just going "with the flow" - I don;t understand it.

To me, it seems we *can* deport any number of people if we choose to do so.
After all, if there were 40 million that owed taxes you can bet your cowboy
boots the IRS wouldn't be saying, "Oh my, that's too many, we
can't possibly
get all of them."

Pure BS. 1st we need to stop more border crossings by allowing our border
agents to do their jobs, 2nd finish the wall, 3rd start busing them back,
4th, make their stay while waiting to go back as uncomfortable as possible -
no AC, minimal heat, miminal comforts. Maybe the'd want to go back then?

Is that too mean? (too bad - don't come here illegally & I won;t be
mean)
If you like it here go home and work to change things there --
