My 308GTB blew TWO of those filters within a few days
of one another.  Upon removing the filter, the
defective rubber "D" ring was deformed almost flat and
out of the metal groove in the area where it leaked. 
And of course, when the pressure regulation valve
detected a drop in oil pressure, the pump went full
bore on.  I now use Baldwins.

My car is a dry sump car.  It put 2 quarts of oil in
the compartment in the time it took to shut the engine
off!  Which, BTW, is a good argument for synthetic
oil.  Its flash point is much higher reducing the
chance of fire from an oil leak.
